Through thoughtfully curated exhibitions, educational programmes, and collaborations with local and international artists, Galeri PETRONAS continues its mission to make art accessible and engaging to all.

Backstory

Galeri PETRONAS was established on 12 August 1992 at Kompleks Dayabumi, championed by the late Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Azizan Zainul Abidin in PETRONAS’ mission to promote, develop, and preserve Malaysian contemporary arts, in line with Balai Seni Negara’s aspirations. In 1998, the gallery moved to the PETRONAS Twin Towers, strengthening its role in nurturing public appreciation for the visual arts. Since March 2021, it has served as PETRONAS’ inward corporate gallery, overseeing the PETRONAS Art Collection (PAC), curating corporate exhibitions, and supporting national cultural diplomacy across the region. Galeri PETRONAS continues to champion the arts through collaborations and meaningful engagements.

Now, Galeri PETRONAS is making its bold move into Ombak KLCC, a permanent home ready to ignite new ideas, bigger audiences, and an even brighter future for the arts.

Inside the gallery, you can look forward to encountering the PETRONAS Art Collection, one of the country’s most significant corporate collections. It holds close to 2,000 works ranging from paintings and sculptures to prints, textiles, ceramics, and crafted objects. The collection brings together landmark pieces by leading Malaysian artists, selected international works, diplomatic gifts, and Object d’Arts from PETRONAS’ global partners.
